In 2018-2019 The Wellington Rotary Club took the opportunity to embark on a fundraising campaign that will help the community demonstrate its ability to provide funds for the public portion of the cost to equip a new facility to replace the current PECMH. The campaign lasted through to 2022, at which time we assessed the status of the approval process by the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care. The approval has been achieved, and the funds earmarked to equip the new facilities were released to PECMH Foundation "Back The Build" campaign, the total amount exceeding $400,000.
The funds were raised through the club’s traditional activities. In addition, we reached out to community minded donors, other service clubs, and local businesses. Charitable receipts were issued for all individual donations over $20.
