President Dave circulated a volunteer sign-up list for Family Day.
Tim was congratulated on being one year "off the table".
Re local donations, Pierre observed that we are over halfway through the year but so far have only disbursed one third of the annual budget for local donations. We don't have to wait to be asked for help. It was proposed that Lana and Bill solicit input from Linda Downey (respecting confidentiality) re people who might need help but don't want to ask.
Dave R advised that the deadlines have been met for the 2020 Diners & Duffers and money is being collected from advertisers. Due to delay in closing of the sale and difficulty communicating with the purchaser, the WOTL Golf Course will not be in the book for this year.
President Dave thanked Sharon for doing a wonderful job filling in on the Pubic Relations portfolio while Karen was on leave.
Parker provided a membership update: 37 permanent members and one prospective new member.
Dave S. provided a Hospital Fund update: Donations of $13M received in December which included $4.5M from collecting pledges and $5m from a new donor. The current balance of the hospital fund is $250M, including $20M in pledges. The Board authorized execution of a "Gift Agreement" between the Club, our Charitable Foundation and the PECM Hospital Foundation re our $400M multi-year commitment and another regarding a $50M donation from an anonymous donor.
Dave R and Liz provided some details re Family Day. There will be a free reading program with County Kids Reads giving out free books, handprints as art, and helpers will be coming from the ROC Youth Centre in Picton.
Dave McK noted that good progress is being made in discussions with the province re: expansion of the intensive care unit at Belleville hospital, which is operating above capacity.
Karen advised our old projector went to Larry Epstein, a local stand-up comic who can use it in hist act.

-$500 donation to CML Snider School for ribbons for Track & Field Day approved
-$1200 for Australia Fire Relief from Emergency Humanitarian Aid budget recommended and approved
- $750 donation to Hope Air recommended to Foundation
- $1M donation to Mustafa family to be sent to help purchase tents for their family members in Idlib, Syria recommended. After extensive discussion the motion was defeated mainly because there is no NGO or Rotary group we can direct the funds to.
