President's Message
As winter storms return, with strong winds, freezing rain and lots of snow, looks like we could be having a white Christmas this year. Always great when our grandchildren can get out on the toboggan hills over the holidays.
While I am still away I have heard last Tuesday's Christmas gift exchange was loads of fun. Once again thanks to Trudy and Howard for organizing another special holiday celebration for Wellington Rotarians. I will be excited to attend this weeks meeting via Zoom to hear Chris and Yvonne presentation on their wonderful walking journey across Spain and Portugal.
Once again this year the Picton Rotary Club is conducting a raffle to distribute 72 Bottles of wine donated by the participants of the Canadian Wine Championship. I have attached their email below, with information on how to purchase tickets.
" Dear Presidents
If your members are looking to stock up for the holiday season, our Club is conducting an online raffle of 72 bottles of wine donated by the All Canadian Wine Championship....the Wall of Wine. The list of wines on offer and the link to purchase tickets can be found on our website. We can provide delivery for the lucky winner of they can arrange for pick up
Please pass this event along to your members. We wish you all the very best for the holiday season.
Our special Christmas breakfast meeting and gift exchange was attended by 34 Rotarians.
The only business to be conducted was a motion by Trudy, seconded by Peter that $850 be donated to the hospital Back the Build on behalf of Joe, the baker, for the ten breakfasts that he has prepared for us. Carried.
The hall was gaily decorated by Christine and her crew of volunteers. Real dishes and cutlery were distributed for us to enjoy the meal of two choices of quiche, sliced tomato, croissants, two choices of cookies, tangerines and mimosas to drink.
The gift exchange directed by elf Howard was its usual spirited self, with the most travelled being a big box of liquorice all sorts and a 100 piece puzzle. Chris had revealed a terrible allergic reaction in the past to the all sorts, but fortunately for him, someone relieved him of this prize that he had scoffed from someone else. At the end, after Colin's dancing Santa act, everyone seemed satisfied with their gift except Phyo who did not get the beer gift.
Thanks to the members who prepared the party and cleaned up afterwards.

Four Way Test
Of the things we think, say, and do:
1. Is it the TRUTH?
2. Is it FAIR to all concerned?
3. Will it build GOODWILL and better
FRIENDSHIPS?
4. Will it be BENEFICIAL to all
concerned?

Rotary Song
R-O-T-A-R-Y, that spells Rotary.
R-O-T-A-R-Y, is known on land and sea.
From north to south, and east to west,
They profit most who serve the best,
R-O-T-A-R-Y, that spells Rotary.
